Welcome!

The Sinha Lab at the University of California, Davis focuses on studying fundamental mechanisms of leaf development, using model organisms such as tomato. In order to understand how leaves evolved, we are also looking at other organisms like arabidopsis, tobacco, medicago, carrot, cardamine, and acacia. More recently our research has been exploring the relationship between leaves, photosynthesis, and fruit sugars in tomato under normal and stress conditions.  We also study the interaction between tomato and the parasitic weed, Cuscuta.

Code of Conduct

The Sinha Lab believes that to produce great science, we must foster a supportive, diverse and inclusive environment that prioritizes teamwork, positivity, and respect. All lab members, collaborators, and visitors are expected to agree with the following code of conduct. We will enforce this code as needed. We expect cooperation from all members to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.

Our lab is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment of lab members in any form. Any form of behavior to exclude, intimidate, or cause discomfort is a violation of the Code of Conduct. If you believe someone is in violation of the Code of Conduct, we ask that you report it to Dr Sinha or Kristina Zumstein, who will take the appropriate action to address the situation.
