The Botany Club at UC Davis is a people friendly and plant friendly club for anyone with an interest in plants. Meetings are held every other Thursday evening, 5:15 pm in 140 Robbins Hall. The meetings usually feature guest speakers from all areas of the plant biology field. The club also organizes exploratory field trips and events for members, such as the Spring Break Trip and the Orchid Fair. We welcome anyone with an interest in plants to join the Botany Club. Our members include undergraduate and graduate students from several majors (plant-related and otherwise), university staff, faculty, and UCD graduates. For those interested in a career in botany, we collect and disseminate information about research, internships, jobs, and scholarships. The club also provides an informal setting for members to share advice and opinions about plant-related courses. |
