A postdoctoral position is available in our lab, using the plant Arabidopsis thaliana to study chromosome inheritance and genomic instability, with a particular focus on epigenetic properties of chromosomes. Arabidopsis is ideal for these studies, because it combines epigenetic mechanisms that are very similar to vertebrate cells (DNA methylation, histone methylation and RNA interference) with facile genetics and genomics. See our research page for further details.
The position requires a highly motivated individual with a record of scientific productivity in any field of biology. Applicants with the potential to obtain independent funding are preferred. To apply, please send your CV, a description of your research experience, the names of three referees, and a brief description of what you would like to work on in our lab to Simon Chan (click to e-mail).
